Patrons, Award Sponsors
& Student Competition
With the help of a great many donors the
Fair is a success each year. Donors
are the individuals or corporations contributing either
in-kind services or financial assistance to the Old Capitol
Art Fair. The money is used to support the awards program,
recognizing top artists participating in the current year's
fair; to support the operational expense; and to provide
financial support to high school seniors planning to pursue
art-related studies.
There are several levels of giving. The Board
of Directors can be contacted regarding these.
When you become a donor you realize you are supporting bringing
cultural, social, and economic opportunity to a wide area
of communities and its residents. The two-day event is believed
to be attended by at least 45,000 annually although, since
there is no admission charged, it is possible many more
visit the Fair and Springfield. Donors
are recognized in the programs available to each guest and
artist. Finally, the Donors' Party is a highlight of the
Springfield social scene!

The Springfield Old Capitol Art Fair presents more than
$15,000 in awards to exhibiting artists. Judging is conducted
on Saturday, May 15 during Art Fair hours. Awards are presented
at the Artists/Patron Party on the evening of Saturday,
May 15.
